Ao no Orchestra
Hajime Aono used to live and breathe violin music. His father was a world-famous violinist who inspired him to pick up the instrument as a kid. But when his parents' marriage fell apart, Aono decided he was done with it—no more violin, no more music. He started high school totally directionless. During PE class, a stray ball smacks him in the face and lands him in the infirmary. That's where he meets Ritsuko Akine, a blunt girl who's secretly playing violin, thinking no one's around. Problem is, she's got a reputation for being a bully based on some past drama, so she's basically friendless—something Aono didn't know about. Akine's got her heart set on getting into a school with an orchestra program, but her playing is rough and she barely knows anything about music. It drives Aono crazy watching her stumble through it. Their teacher sees an opening and pushes Aono to teach her, which he absolutely doesn't want to do. But as they start spending time together, something clicks. They actually start helping each other figure things out—and maybe, just maybe, Aono will rediscover why he ever loved playing in the first place.
