This prequel takes you back to the mystical world of the Four Gods from the original Fushigi Yugi series. Schoolgirl Takiko Okuda gets pulled into her father's translation of The Universe of the Four Gods and becomes the Priestess of Genbu. Now she has to track down seven Celestial Warriors to complete her mission. Her first major encounter is with Limdo, a wanted outlaw and Celestial Warrior who has the Chinese character for "woman" tattooed on his chest. He's got some pretty wild powers—he can control the wind and transform into a woman. Then Takiko runs into Chamka, a skilled archer who's hunting Limdo. Turns out Chamka is also one of the seven Celestial Warriors she's looking for. Volume 6 includes a one-shot bonus story: Ayashi no Ceres Gaiden.
