Asuna is a quiet, insecure girl living in the mountain town of Mizunofuchi. She meets Shun, a boy claiming to be from Agartha, a legendary hidden land. Just when they're starting to bond, Shun disappears. Not long after, Asuna runs into Shin, who looks identical to Shun, along with Morisaki, a teacher obsessed with finding Agartha. The three of them decide to search for the mythical country together, each chasing their own goals and learning important things about themselves in the process.
