Synopsis

In an alternate Japan where the government never privatized the railways, the Japanese National Railway remains a stable, respected place to work. Naoto Takayama is a train enthusiast who joins the JNR as a trainee with the Railways Security Force, hoping to become a conductor. It's not just about knowing locomotives—he has to be prepared for whatever threats come his way. Stationed with the Fourth Guard Team, Naoto works alongside three quirky partners: Aoi Sakurai, an acrobatic woman with a sharp distrust of men; Haruka Koumi, a brilliant young prodigy; and Shou Iwaizumi, who's basically always hungry. Together, they deal with everything from petty criminals and structural problems to political extremists from a group called RJ. The Fourth Guard Team's job is to keep Japan's rail system running smoothly, day in and day out.
