New York City is supposedly the safest place on Earth, protected by an elite police force. Officer Tiny McDaniel works under Captain Vaneast, grinding day and night hoping to make a name for herself as a hero. Her real goal is to impress her older brother Reigand, a decorated Vaneast Hero who's always out there on the front lines. Problem is, she keeps getting stuck with nothing assignments. That changes when a black angel shows up in the city and all hell breaks loose. Suddenly the safest city in the world is drowning in violence—gunfire, dead civilians, total chaos. The Vaneast Heroes are caught completely off guard with no way to shut it down. Then a red moon rises over New York City, and something bigger starts unfolding.
