Synopsis

While the main Mobile Suit Gundam SEED story revolves around the conflict between the Earth Alliance, ZAFT, and the Orb Union, Astray takes a different angle. It follows three prototype mobile suits and their pilots—characters who operate mostly on the periphery of the larger war. The series centers mainly on Lowe Guele, a junk collector who pilots the red-framed MBF-P02 Astray. Then there's Gai Murakumo, a mercenary working for Serpent Tail, who flies the blue-framed MBF-P03 Astray. The third prototype, the gold-framed MBF-P01 Astray, belongs to Rondo Ghina Sahaku, an Orb noble who serves as the story's main antagonist—though his twin sister Rondo Mina eventually takes the controls later on.
