Synopsis

Kujou Saburou's your typical hyperactive high schooler with an oddly intense fascination for the mysterious and unexplained. When a new transfer student named Shima Ango shows up and finds him during a game of hide-and-seek, they quickly become friends. Problem is, Shima's got a secret agenda—he's actually hunting down mononoke that have been plaguing Tokyo. During one of their encounters with these creatures, Kujou gets caught in the crossfire and literally loses his head, which ends up unsealing an Oni that was sealed inside him all along.
