Birdcage Castle
Torikago no Tsugai
Nearly a month ago, Kumo Shirasagi vanished without explanation. Six of her classmates decide to search for her in the Bird Forest, an abandoned amusement park tucked away on a remote hillside. One of them is Gin Kurobe, a quiet guy whose motivations for joining the search are unclear—he has a habit of muttering to himself that doesn't help matters. Their investigation leads them to the Birdcage Castle, a massive structure dominating the park. The moment they enter, everyone gets knocked out. When they come to, they're all wearing metal collars, and each collar is connected to someone else's. The rules of whatever twisted game they've stumbled into are straightforward: you can't backtrack on any path you take, and you have to move in pairs at all times. Break either rule and you die. Now Gin and the others have to make their way up through this deadly castle, solve whatever psychological puzzles await them, and somehow find Kumo—all while keeping themselves alive.
