Synopsis

SEES is supposedly just a regular club at Gekkoukan High School, but it's actually a secret organization dedicated to fighting Shadows—monsters that appear during the "Dark Hour," a hidden time period that most people can't even remember. Those without the ability to recall it transform into coffins and develop Apathy Syndrome, a condition that drains them of all will to live. Minato Arisato, a transfer student, is one of the rare few who can perceive the Dark Hour, though he doesn't know it yet. When he first arrives at school, a mysterious figure has him sign a contract accepting responsibility for his own actions. Shortly after, SEES approaches him—they've been watching because they sense his potential far exceeds that of any current member. One night, Yukari Takeba wakes Minato up when a Shadow attacks their dormitory during the Dark Hour. Acting on pure instinct, Minato grabs Yukari's gun to fight back. Instead of shooting the creature, he turns the weapon on himself—and that's when his Persona awakens. Now equipped with genuine supernatural powers, Minato officially joins SEES to get to the bottom of what's really going on.
