Ghost Hunt
Mai's school has this old, abandoned building that's supposedly cursed. Every time they try to tear it down, people start dying under weird circumstances and the demolition gets called off. So Mai and her friends decide to prove it's actually haunted by telling ghost stories to summon something. Nothing shows up—but they do meet Kazuya Shibuya, a new transfer student who's seventeen and charming as hell. Mai's friends are all over him, but she doesn't buy the act. Then Mai accidentally discovers that Kazuya isn't just some random student. He's actually the head of Shibuya Psychic Research, a group the school principal hired to investigate the building. To avoid paying him damages for whatever she did, Mai gets stuck helping him out. They assemble a team of people who actually know their way around the supernatural: Houshou Takigawa (a former Buddhist monk), Ayako Matsusaki (who claims to be a Shinto priestess), Masako Hara (a well-known medium), and John Brown (a Catholic priest). Together, Mai and Kazuya have to figure out what's really going on with the building before anyone else dies.
