Synopsis

Kyoto's entertainment districts are famous for their geisha—traditional performers who sing and dance. Kiyo Nozuki is a teenager living in a manor with a group of maiko, apprentice geisha who dream of becoming the real thing. She'd moved to Kyoto hoping to join their ranks herself, but it quickly became clear that wasn't going to work out. Rather than get down about it, Kiyo figures out what she's actually good at: cooking. So she decides to stick around and support the troupe by doing what she does best—preparing amazing meals for them.
