After a catastrophic disaster wrecked Earth, most of humanity uploaded their consciousness to DEVA, a space station orbiting the planet. Living as digital beings in a virtual paradise—no death, no hunger, no real problems—they seemed set for peace. Then Frontier Setter, a talented hacker, broke into the system and started spreading dangerous ideas to everyone. Authorities branded him a security threat, and Angela Balzac, a sharp cop working for DEVA, was sent after him. When the hacker's trail led down to Earth, Angela made the call to transfer her mind into a cloned body and head to the surface herself. There she teams up with Dingo, a smooth-talking agent, and as they hunt for Frontier Setter, Angela starts uncovering some uncomfortable truths—both about the ruined world below and the supposedly perfect station above.
