Houseki no Kuni
Eons ago, six meteorites slammed into Earth and created six moons, leaving behind a single island. Humanity couldn't make it there in time—instead, they sank into the ocean and gradually crystallized over millions of years. Eventually, 28 of these crystallized beings, called the Lustrous, emerged from the depths and settled on the island. Under their teacher Kongou's guidance, they've had to constantly fight off the Lunarians—beings from the moons who want to shatter the gems and use their bodies to make weapons and jewelry. The story follows Phosphophyllite, a gem who's about to hit 300 years old. They're not exactly impressive: clumsy, incredibly fragile, and basically talentless. While the other gems are out fighting the Lunarians, Phosphophyllite can barely handle anything without breaking. But as the conflict escalates, they start to realize that real strength requires sacrifices—and sometimes those sacrifices are way too high.
