Synopsis

Shinichi Kudou is a high school detective with a reputation for solving cases that stump the police—thanks to his sharp observation skills and quick thinking. While out with his childhood friend Ran Mouri one day, Shinichi witnesses a shady deal between two men and gets caught. They force him to drink poison as punishment, but instead of killing him, it shrinks his body down to that of a grade-schooler. Presumed dead, Shinichi goes into hiding under the alias Conan Edogawa, named after mystery writers Arthur Conan Doyle and Ranpo Edogawa, and moves in with Ran and her father, who's a private detective. Now living as a seven-year-old, Conan keeps doing what he does best—solving murder cases—while secretly investigating the men responsible for his condition and searching for a way to get his body back.
