It's December 0079, and Zeon's got intel on a prototype Gundam being built at a Federation base in the Arctic. They send their best mobile suit commandos to wreck it, but the thing gets launched into space before they can finish the job. Later, the Gundam shows up at a Federation research facility in Side 6, a neutral space colony. Zeon isn't about to let that slide, so they mount a covert operation to take it out—except it fails. Now they're threatening to nuke the whole colony unless their last commando can destroy the Gundam.
