It's Universal Century 0087, seven years after the One Year War ended. The Earth Federation created the Titans as an elite military unit to crush any remaining resistance, but the group quickly became corrupt and brutal—committing atrocities just as bad as anything Zeon did during the actual war. This sparked the formation of the AEUG, the Anti-Earth Union Group, made up of fed-up civilians, ex-Zeon soldiers, and even some Federation defectors who were sick of what was happening. Tensions are rising fast, and an AEUG team heads to Side 7 to check out rumors of a new mobile suit: the Gundam Mk. II.
