It's AC 195, and Earth is locked in its worst war ever. Meanwhile, the remote asteroid colony MO-V has managed to stay out of it all—until OZ shows up demanding they pick a side and contribute resources to the fight for independence from Earth's control. Things get worse when a group calling themselves the Stardust Knights start attacking the colony. The colony's best pilot, Odel Bernett, gets shot down, which means his younger brother Odin has to step up and pilot the G-Unit, a brand new experimental mobile suit, to protect their home.
