Nina the Starry Bride
Hoshifuru Oukoku no Nina
Five years ago, a plague devastated Fortna and killed a huge chunk of its population—including Nina's parents. Left to fend for herself, she teams up with a couple other orphans and turns to stealing from the rich just to survive. But tragedy strikes again when mysterious men abduct her. Her kidnapper is Azure Seth Fortna, the kingdom's second prince. His half-sister Alisha, a priestess-princess, died in an accident before she could be married off to the crown prince of neighboring Galgada—a betrothal meant to keep the peace between the two kingdoms. The problem: without Alisha, war seems inevitable. The solution Azure comes up with is pretty bold: use Nina as a stand-in, since they share the same rare deep-blue eyes. It's not exactly a great offer, but Nina has nothing to lose anyway. She agrees to pose as the dead princess, and with Azure's help, she learns how to pull off being royalty. Now the survival of two nations depends on whether she can pull off the deception. No pressure.
