Masaki Fujiyoshi is a stay-at-home parent struggling with insecurity about his role as an omega—a secondary gender that allows him to bear children regardless of biological sex. He's spent years fighting the feeling that he's a burden to his husband Hiromu, but they managed to build the family they wanted together. When their son Hikari was born, they moved to a better neighborhood to raise him. Now Hikari's almost two, and the family's settling into their new life. They're building connections with the people around them: Yuuki, a college student living next door who's become Hikari's favorite person; Matsuo, Hiromu's coworker; and a mysterious single father they keep running into at the park. Things seem good on the surface, but it doesn't last. People from their past are starting to show up, and not all of them seem to have the family's best interests at heart.
