Kyoutaro Ichikawa is your average middle school student on the surface, but he's got a dark fantasy running through his head—he dreams of committing murder. And his number one target? Anna Yamada, the class idol, who he thinks about constantly. One day while reading alone in the school library, he stumbles into a secret routine with Yamada: she comes there to secretly binge on candy and sweets. As they keep running into each other, Ichikawa realizes she's actually kind of an airhead, and he finds himself quietly rooting for her anyway. For her part, Yamada notices how easily she can get a reaction out of him and can't resist messing with him about it. Their little library encounters start becoming a thing—these small, weirdly wholesome moments that gradually pull them closer together. What started as two people sharing a space becomes something deeper. Maybe eventually Ichikawa will figure out that those murderous thoughts he used to have are becoming something completely different.
