Junichi Naruse is your average guy who decides to get back into art—drawing and painting, the whole thing. He meets Megumi Hamura and they fall hard for each other. Things move pretty fast; they start dating, decide to move in together, and Junichi's even out looking at apartments. Then everything goes wrong. While trying to save a kid during a robbery, he takes a bullet to the head. He wakes up a month later, somehow alive. They managed to save him with an emergency brain transplant from an anonymous donor. But as he recovers, Junichi realizes something's off. His personality keeps shifting in weird ways, and it's tanking his relationships. He's getting more unstable by the day, and he becomes obsessed with finding out who his donor was—convinced that identifying them is the only way to stop himself from completely losing his mind.
