Ryuusuke Fukada is heading back to Nazumi, the foggy hometown he left behind. The town's thick, perpetual fog has spawned a weird local pastime: intersection fortune-telling, where strangers meet up at random crossroads to ask each other for anonymous advice. It's basically a game for most people, but Ryuusuke has baggage attached to it. When he was younger, his participation in the game caused something terrible to happen to his partner—something that's haunted him ever since. Now returning means facing those memories, and more immediately, facing his childhood friend Midori Shibayama. Then a new player shows up: the Intersections Pretty Boy. He's attractive in a dangerous sort of way, and he's pure cruelty wrapped in a handsome package. Everyone who encounters him gets nothing but harsh, cutting advice—and it's advice that somehow actually affects people's lives in serious ways. As people start suffering real consequences, Ryuusuke realizes he needs to stop this guy before history repeats itself. Whether he can actually pull it off, though, is another question entirely.
