Three years into the H-Era, Jakurai Jinguji gets an unexpected invitation. His old group, The Dirty Dawg, fell apart, but now the Party of Words is launching the Division Rap Battles—a tournament where the best rappers from each division compete for territory, bragging rights, and serious money. It's the perfect chance for Jakurai to finally face off against Ramuda Amemura, his former bandmate who now despises him. Jakurai doesn't waste time. He pulls together Matenrou with Doppo Kannozaka, a burnt-out salaryman, and Hifumi Izanami, Shinjuku's top host. Meanwhile, Ramuda's putting together his own crew on the other side of town. He recruits Dice Arugisawa, a gambler, and Gentarou Yumeno, a novelist, to form Fling Posse representing Shibuya. When the two teams clash in the tournament, things get complicated fast. The Party of Words has its eye on Jakurai—and they're willing to go to extreme lengths to keep him in line. As the battles heat up, it becomes clear that winning matches alone won't be enough. Jakurai and Ramuda need to figure out what really happened to The Dirty Dawg and what the government is actually after.
