Synopsis

Yui Hirasawa joins the Light Music Club thinking it'll be a laid-back, no-stress kind of deal. But when she tries to quit, she learns the club needs her to stay alive—literally doesn't have enough members without her. The other girls—Mio, Ritsu, and Tsumugi—decide to win her over by playing an actual song for her. It works. Yui's hooked, and she decides to stick around. So that's how K-On! kicks off. The girls balance homework and their growing passion for music while basically just goofing off together in the clubroom. They mess around a lot, but that's what makes high school life in this show so fun to watch.
