Yuka Katsuragi is a gorgeous TV news reporter who's caught the attention of Katsuji Yashima, a yakuza thug. He's so obsessed that he chases her all the way to Spain with his brother—only to get rejected. Then an earthquake hits and traps them underground along with four high school students who were there on a field trip. While stuck below, they run into a cryptic old woman who drops some heavy prophecies on them: Japan, for all its wealth and success, is headed toward the same fate as ancient Carthage. When the group brushes her off, she decides to show them exactly what she means—forcing them to witness a future of total devastation and death firsthand.
