Synopsis

When Chiaki Mikado was a kid, a three-headed dog bit away part of his soul. The result? He can't feel happiness anymore. He goes through life numb, just faking smiles when he has to. Years later, his father sends him a mysterious box from Greece. Inside is a girl who can shift between three different forms and personalities—Kuro, Shirogane, and Roze. In her Kuro form, she announces she'll be his bodyguard. Turns out she's actually Cerberus, the legendary guardian of Hades' gates, and she's the very creature that damaged his soul all those years ago. But now she wants to help him learn to smile again. Easier said than done, though. With a chunk of his soul missing, Chiaki basically attracts every malicious spirit and fiend in the area. As he meets rivals, friends, and enemies along the way, he struggles to get back something fundamental to being human—the ability to actually feel.
