Synopsis

Hotaru Hinase is a first-year high school student who cares deeply about her family and friends. She's never really understood romance and has decided she's fine with that—love just isn't something she needs. One day at a cafe with her best friend, she sees Hananoi, a popular honor student, get dumped pretty harshly. Later, on her way home, she finds him sitting alone in the snow and gives him her umbrella without thinking twice about it. The next day, Hananoi shows up in her classroom asking her out. She says no, but he doesn't take the hint. Instead, he keeps hanging around her, doing nice things and trying to win her over. Being around him starts making Hotaru feel things she's never felt before. She figures this might actually be love, so she decides to give dating him a shot.
