Synopsis

In a world blending Western and Asian cultures, Ageha is the only son of Count Kikunoi—and his life is basically over before it even starts. Born in the countryside with no allies, no useful skills, and overweight to boot, he's got nothing going for him. Then his younger brother Regulus suddenly shows up, officially recognized as the Count's son, and it becomes clear the kid is meant to kill him someday to claim the inheritance. But Ageha's got one thing working in his favor: memories from a past life in Japan. Along with those memories come two practical skills—cooking and sewing—which turn out to be exactly what he needs. What starts as a survival strategy quickly becomes something else entirely. As Ageha raises Regulus, he finds himself genuinely attached to the kid. "Wait, my brother is actually adorable?" Before long, he's a total doting older brother, making handmade toys and cooking elaborate dishes like chawanmushi for the boy. Using his old-world knowledge and his newfound talents as a housekeeper, Ageha starts improving life for everyone in his territory. The two brothers begin managing their lands together—but their efforts are so successful they end up changing the entire country, catching the attention of even the gods themselves.
