Let's Go Karaoke!
Karaoke Iko!
Morioka Middle School's choir came in second at nationals, but 39-year-old yakuza Kyouji Narita thinks they're the real winners. His boss is obsessed with two things—karaoke and tattoos—and he's combined them into a twisted competition: losers get hand-pricked tattoos designed by the boss himself. Problem is, the boss has no artistic talent, and Kyouji really doesn't want to find out what he'd end up looking like. Desperate to avoid becoming a walking canvas, Kyouji tracks down Satomi Oka, the 14-year-old head of that same choir, hoping he can teach him how to actually sing. Satomi thinks the whole thing is ridiculous and has bigger problems anyway—his voice is changing, his body won't cooperate, and puberty is making everything harder. Still, he feels a little bad for the guy, so he agrees to coach him despite the weirdness of it all. As Satomi teaches a yakuza how to carry a tune, he starts navigating not just his own confusing teenage years, but also a genuinely strange friendship with a middle-aged criminal.
