Synopsis

Akira Fudou's always been a bit of a pushover, but everything changes when his childhood friend Ryou tracks him down with some heavy news: demons are real, and they're planning to take over the world. His dad's research proved it. Wanting to help save humanity, Akira agrees to crash Black Sabbath—basically a depraved party designed as a demon summoning ritual—and try to merge with a demon himself. Things go wrong fast, but instead of dying, he ends up bonding with Amon, one of the most powerful and feared demons around. The fusion creates Devilman: Amon's raw power combined with Akira's pure heart. Now that he's got actual strength, Akira throws himself into fighting demons and trying to prevent humanity's extinction.
