Synopsis

Mitsuo Suwa is a lazy kid who gets recruited by Birdman, an alien working to keep peace across the galaxy, to become a Perman. The job comes with three essential items: a helmet that boosts strength and hides his identity, a cape for flying and super speed, and a badge that lets him breathe underwater and talk to other Permans. Birdman makes one thing crystal clear—if anyone finds out who Mitsuo really is, his brain gets scrambled and he'll turn into an animal. To cover for him, Birdman also gives Mitsuo a copy-robot that poses as him whenever he's out on Perman duty. While working as a Perman, Mitsuo befriends three other Permans: Booby, Perko, and Peryan. From there, the series focuses on their friendship and their various missions stopping criminals and preventing disasters.
