Synopsis

Kabamaru is a young ninja from Iga who grew up training under his strict grandfather in the mountains. He's got an enormous appetite—hence his nickname "Kabamaru" (hippo's mouth)—and he's pretty naive about how the world actually works. After his grandfather dies, he moves to Tokyo with someone his grandfather knew, and suddenly he's dealing with city life for the first time. The main story follows him trying to adjust to this totally different environment while getting pulled into a rivalry between two private schools.
