Shintarou's life as a shut-in would be perfect if not for Ene, a cheerful AI girl living in his computer who won't stop pranking him. When her antics finally destroy his keyboard, he faces a crisis—he actually has to leave his room. For the first time in two years, he heads out into the summer heat to buy a replacement. Of course, a simple shopping trip can't stay simple. The department store gets hit by terrorists, and Shintarou ends up hostage along with everyone else. That's when he meets the Mekakushi-dan—a group of red-eyed teenagers with bizarre powers. Together they work to stop the attack, but as Shintarou gets pulled deeper into their world, he starts to realize something doesn't add up. These kids' lives are weirdly connected, and their meeting might've been anything but coincidence.
