But the humans aren't the only ones after that seal. The vampire king has abandoned his own kingdom and betrayed both his race and the dhampirs—half-vampire hybrids—in his obsessive search for where his queen is hidden. He wants to free her before the humans can destroy her. The thought of the king and queen reuniting and destroying the world together terrifies everyone. So now humans and dhampirs are hunting the king relentlessly, willing to use whatever means necessary to stop him.
