Eleven years after AR glasses became mainstream, Yūko Okonogi moves to Daikoku City with her family—basically the tech capital of this half-virtual world everyone's living in now. She ends up joining her grandmother's investigation agency, which is run by kids using virtual tools and these things called metatags that pack some serious power. Pretty quickly she meets Yūko Amasawa, this brilliant hacker who's obsessed with figuring out where a mysterious computer virus is actually coming from. Turns out it's emerging from some kind of corrupted space nobody can normally access, and Amasawa's determined to get to the bottom of it.
