Ponta is an energetic Labrador retriever puppy who belongs to the Koizumi family and is basically always getting into something. When her grandfather, an amateur inventor, creates the Guruguru Bone, Ponta's curiosity gets the better of her—she takes a bite and suddenly transforms into a human girl. Not one to back down, Ponta heads out into the world and crosses paths with Mirai Iwaki, the most popular guy at school. After he saves her from getting hit by a car, she transforms back into a puppy. But something's different now. Her heart skips a beat whenever she thinks about Mirai. She's fallen for him. With the Guruguru Bone giving her the ability to switch between dog and girl forms, Ponta sees her chance. The real question is whether she can actually get Mirai to fall for her too.
