Synopsis

A month into Kayaba's death game, the body count has hit two thousand. Kirito and Asuna couldn't be more different—both are loners by nature, yet they keep getting pulled toward each other as threats close in from all sides. The virtual world they're trapped in was designed to kill them, and as desperation spreads through the survivor population, solo players are becoming targets. It's becoming obvious that going it alone is a death sentence. The question is whether these two can set aside their differences, learn to trust each other, and actually work together to survive.
