Synopsis

In the Tearmoon Empire, Princess Mia was a nightmare—spoiled, selfish, and awful all around. So it's pretty fitting that she ended up rotting in prison before getting executed. One day, twelve-year-old Mia wakes up with vivid memories of the guillotine and finds a worn diary beside her. It's full of entries documenting her years in that horrifying dungeon. Desperate to avoid that fate, Mia decides to turn herself around. Her plan is simple: act virtuous, clean up the empire's problems before they spiral out of control, and even—begrudgingly—start sharing her candy with people. Everyone around her thinks she's this wise, generous princess, but she knows the truth: she's only doing it to save her own skin. Still, good deeds are good deeds, even if the motivation is totally selfish. So Mia sets out to rewrite her future, one step at a time.
