Synopsis

Sanshiro's stuck in his sleepy island hometown with basically zero chance of anything interesting happening—until some random stranger shows up and challenges him to a game. Next thing he knows, he's yanked into a twisted alternate universe where he's forced to compete in BakéGyamon, a monster-battling tournament. He quickly discovers that the other players in the competition aren't just there for fun; they all want the grand prize—a wish that'll actually come true. The catch? Sanshiro's been saddled with a team of useless little mud blob creatures. Yeah, he's got his work cut out for him.
