Kai's been obsessed with Ginta ever since watching him dominate the War Games six years back. ARMs have gotten way more common since then—Guardians especially—but Kai doesn't have one yet. He's desperate to get his hands on a real ARM, ideally something as cool as Ginta's. One day his adoptive grandfather, the ARM-smith who raised him after his parents died, sends him on an errand. That's when things go sideways: he gets attacked by a Chess member. While running for his life, he stumbles across something unexpected—Babbo. But waking Babbo up has a major problem: the fake ARMs start going haywire. Now Kai's got to figure out if he's got what it takes to step into Ginta's shoes and save MAR Heaven.
