Makoto Niwa is a high school student living with his aunt's family while his parents are away on business. When he arrives, he meets his cousin Erio, who's around his age—and she's, well, unusual. She wraps a futon mattress around herself, claims to be an alien, and has an obsession with pizza. Turns out Erio had gone missing for six months before washing up in the sea. She has no memory of what happened during all that time, so naturally she's convinced aliens were responsible. Now she spends her days wandering the neighborhood bundled up in her futon, convinced she's an extraterrestrial.
