Synopsis

Fifteen-year-old Satoyama Katsuki and his best friend Kawakami Kyouta join Mizutani Boxing Gym for one reason: to get closer to Mizutani Katsuki, the gym owner's tomboyish daughter. Things get complicated fast—Mizutani is clearly distant from her dad, and she actually hates boxing. Everything changes during a sparring match. Satoyama shows surprising natural talent, and Mizutani realizes he's genuinely skilled. It turns out she's obsessed with boxing herself, but resents it because she sees it as a man's sport she can't compete in. She decides to become his trainer and manager, pushing him toward a championship title. Satoyama's happy to go along with it if it means more time with her. As things unfold, we learn Satoyama's got a hidden past and a bloodline that explains his raw talent—he's got the makings of a legendary oriental pro-boxing champion.
