It's 4088. Over a thousand years ago, the Crisis of Systems wiped out four entire planetary systems, leaving humanity with just one habitable world: Zion. Problem is, it's constantly under attack by alien creatures called the Victim. So humans ended up stuck living in space colonies instead. To fight back and actually reclaim Zion, mankind created massive humanoid weapons called Ingrids—basically giant goddesses. The G.O.A., or Goddess Operation Academy, is where young men train to pilot them.
