When Nagito Senda got dumped by his girlfriend Kiri right after starting high school, he was pretty heartbroken. But things turned around when he noticed Nozomi Takane, a girl in his class, getting hassled by an aggressive club recruiter. He stepped in to help, and the two quickly bonded—sitting together in class, walking to and from school. They were getting pretty close. Then one day while they're cleaning the library, Kiri shows up out of nowhere and asks if she can "borrow Nagi-kun." When Nozomi questions what Kiri's deal is, she drops this: "I was Nagi-kun's ex-girlfriend." Nozomi doesn't hesitate: "Well from now on I'll be his new girlfriend." So now both girls have made their intentions clear. The question becomes: what does Nagito actually want? As his ex and his current girlfriend go head-to-head, sparks are definitely going to fly.
