Synopsis

In a world where fairies are enslaved and auctioned off, humans and the fae are far from friends. Anne Halford wants to change that—at least with Challe, the fairy bodyguard she's just been assigned. Problem is, he's not interested in friendship or anything else she's offering. When Anne forces Challe to escort her through dangerous territory, things get complicated fast. Her reluctant protector is desperate to break free from servitude, which means Anne's got way more problems on her hands than she anticipated. What should be a simple job turns into something messier altogether.
