Synopsis

Spring has arrived, but something's wrong. Red snow is falling across the world, and that's where 16-year-old Himeno Awayuki's story begins. Her life just got turned upside down when her father remarried and moved them into her wealthy step-family's mansion. She's still grieving her mother and struggling to fit in, but Himeno's not the type to just curl up and feel sorry for herself. Things get stranger when she meets a mysterious boy on her way to school. He pulls her into another world where she discovers him hanging out with six other guys—all decked out in bizarre outfits. They're the Leafe Knights, and their job is protecting Leafe, basically the life force of everything, from someone called the Princess of Disaster. Problem is, she's using that red snow to drain Leafe, and the seven Knights can't stop her alone. They need help from the legendary Pretear—a princess who can defend Leafe and turn the snow back to normal. Himeno doesn't buy it at first, but when she sees the Princess of Disaster's evil firsthand, she agrees to become the Pretear. And that's how this magical girl retelling of Snow White kicks off.
