Synopsis

It's the 1800s in a small tribal settlement near the Caspian Sea, deep in Central Asia. Life here follows the old ways—the customs and traditions that have held steady for generations along the Silk Road. Amir Halgal is a striking 20-year-old woman, skilled with a bow, comfortable on horseback, and capable as a hunter. She's traveled from her distant home for an arranged marriage to Karluk Eihon, a charming but much younger boy of just 12. The age gap makes things awkward between them at first, which makes sense. But as they spend time together, something shifts. They develop genuine feelings for each other, and what starts as respect gradually deepens into real love. The story follows Amir and Karluk through their everyday lives and struggles, while also weaving in the stories of other couples across the region.
