Synopsis

Kojiro's a broke high school teacher who barely scrapes by, and he supervises the kendo club on top of it all. His life takes an unexpected turn when an old friend challenges him to a bet: if Kojiro's kendo team can beat his friend's team, he wins a year's supply of premium sushi. Suddenly, he's got real motivation—he just needs to actually build a five-woman team first. His first recruit is Tamaki Kawazoe, a seriously talented kendo athlete and the daughter of a prestigious dojo master. The catch? She has zero interest in casual kendo. Now Kojiro's got to figure out how to get her on board with his ambitious plan.
