Takashi Akimoto is dead set on forming the best manzai comedy duo around, and he's picked his target: Ayumu Seta, a fellow middle schooler who'd really rather be left alone. After tracking Ayumu down and cornering him, Takashi blurts out, "Please go out with me!"—which sends Ayumu into panic mode until he realizes Takashi just means as comedy partners, not dating. From there, it's a losing battle. No matter how hard Ayumu tries to escape Takashi's pushy, over-the-top enthusiasm, he keeps getting dragged deeper into the chaotic world of comedy.
