Synopsis

Tsukuyomi is a virtual space where people can chase their dreams and live out their fantasies. Iroha Sakayori is a busy 17-year-old Tokyo high schooler juggling part-time work and classes. She finds her escape by watching Yachiyo Runami, a popular streamer who runs Tsukuyomi, and spends her free time there supporting Yachiyo and grinding battle games for some extra cash. One day on her way home, Iroha spots a telephone pole glowing with strange colors. When a cute baby crawls out of it, she can't just leave it there—so she takes the kid home. What happens next is bizarre: the baby rapidly grows into a girl who looks about Iroha's age. The newly grown Kaguya turns out to be pretty self-centered, but she begs Iroha to help her start streaming in Tsukuyomi. With Iroha producing and writing music and Kaguya performing as the streamer and singer, the two gradually grow closer. Neither of them realizes that something sinister is waiting in the wings, determined to drag Kaguya back to the moon. This is the Princess Kaguya story reimagined.
